The Rockford Fire Department is currently accepting applications for 911 Telecommunicators, and job qualifications include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Past experience in fast paced, highly stressful situations preferred
  • Must be able to type 45 words per minute and pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening

The starting wage for 911 Telecommunicators is $22.51 per hour and includes health, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Interested candidates must submit their application by November 6, 2020 to be considered for employment.
