Culver's has been a part of my life for about as long as I've been in Rockford.

Needless to say, if I were to leave town, I'd be missing two different things.

I know there are Culver's in many pockets of America, but to me, the Wisconsin-based Culver's is about as much a northern Illinois and Rockford-type fast food joint as it is Wisconsin.

Maybe it's the proximity or just that I'm making excuses to grab some ownership of Culver's, but I do really enjoy the place, and as it would happen, I'm not the only one because Eat This, Not That! is also a fan.

They just listed Culver's way at the top of restaurant chains with the best double cheeseburgers according to chefs.

Culver's ButterBurgers have earned a loyal following thanks to the chain's commitment to fresh beef and cooked-to-order burgers. For those looking for an even heartier option, the double ButterBurger Deluxe is a customer favorite. Hard to disagree with that chef's take on the ButterBurger, and it's also some seriously high praise for Culver's in general.
