If your young baby has to have corrective skull surgery you might as well make the helmet they have to wear look awesome.

That's what this dad did when his baby had craniosynostosis surgery.

According to the Mayo Clinic, "Craniosynostosis (kray-nee-o-sin-os-TOE-sis) is a birth defect in which one or more of the joints between the bones of your baby's skull close prematurely, before your baby's brain is fully formed. When your baby has craniosynostosis, his or her brain can't grow in its natural shape and the head is misshapen."

Sometimes the kids only have to wear helmets, sometimes it requires surgery and the use of a helmet to hold the shape in place.

That's what happened to Jack, the young boy in the Star Wars helmets, he had to have surgery and wear a helmet for a year.

The dad must be quite the Star Wars fan and an amazing artist. He designed a helmet to look like R2-D2 at first and as Jack got bigger, the dad started making more and more.

He designed helmets based on Luke Skywalker, Biggs Darklighter, and Jek Porkins characters all in their X-Wing pilot helmets.

This defines turning a negative into a positive. Turns out, Jack no longer needs to wear the helmet, and I couldn't be happier.

The force is strong with this one.
