Hey girl, how was your weekend?

Was it filled with parties for the kids, catching up on yard work and emptying out the DVR?

Come Sunday could you use a little alone time?

That pretty much summed up my weekend; after hanging with the boyfriend on the couch all day Saturday, I really needed some time alone before the weekend came to an end. It's the only way I get things done.

Don't get me wrong, I love when my boyfriend doesn't have to work on weekends, but sometimes I get so used to him plastering and golfing that I really enjoy that 4-6 hours of being able to have the TV and the fridge to myself. Not to mention, I missed the entire Sex and the City marathon this weekend because he refused to watch it, and we only have one TV with cable on it. I know, poor me, right?

Should I ever find myself in a similar circumstance again, I'll just send him to the Husband Day Care Center, otherwise known as NMT Drink, a fun little bar right across the street from the CherryVale Mall on Perryville.

Some friends of ours invited us to join them for Sunday Funday, and I was quite amused when I walked in and saw the Husband Day Care Center sign.

As I sat down, I looked around and questioned how I had no idea that this place existed.

I spoke to the owner, Steve, and he tells me that the bar is close to 100 years old (it's the original from North Main Tavern), they have live music on Saturdays from 7 to midnight, and their mac and cheese is a must have.

I'd like to add that their staff is super friendly, the drinks are extra strong and it's the only place in town, that I know of, where I can get Schlafly's Coconut Creme Ale; it's my new favorite craft beer.

With all of that said ladies, if you're looking for a place to bring the hubby so you can head across the street to do some shopping, have lunch with the girls, or just need some alone time at home, bring your man to the husband daycare center at NMT Drink.
