We are just a few days away from the return of the Chili Shoot-out! What better way to celebrate then to see how your co-workers react to a very "silly" chili recipe.

Being silly is probably one of my favorite things in the world. One of my other favorite things is dessert. So as we are getting excited for the Chili Shoot-out this weekend, I thought it would be the perfect time to play around in the kitchen.

I searched the internet for a dessert chili recipe and found this one for "chilly chili" from Jody Sanders' blog "Because I'm Me." Perfect!

I did make a few swaps. I didn't buy Boston Baked Beans candies, because that doesn't sound too appetizing to me, instead I used Nestle Buncha Crunch candy, because it's delicious. I also didn't have any red food coloring, so I didn't use any.

The yellow food coloring with the coconut shreds is my absolute favorite part, it looks so cheesy!

I didn't plan on ambushing Rebecah, Steve and Lenny, but that's kind of just what happened, and it was pretty funny.

This recipe is really easy and perfect if you want to get kids in the kitchen with you. Maybe you're having a barbecue or a tailgate and want to bring a themed dessert? This Silly Chilly Chili is a great choice.
