Illinois’ Toilet Paper Rush: Here’s Why It’s All Unnecessary
I have bad news for you if you panicked and purchased a roll or 200 of toilet paper due to the dock workers' strike.

Only this time, we're not buying for comfort, like we did four years ago.
This time, we're buying because we think the strike will cause a shortage of toilet paper on shelves.
China is a significant producer of paper products. However, it's important to note that over 90% of the toilet paper we use in America is manufactured here in the US, ensuring a steady supply.
That means we won't need ports or docks to conduct business in the bathroom.

That said, it won't stop people from stocking up on toilet paper this time, as it didn't stop folks four years ago.
Who is the only winner in all this madness? You'd think it would be the entrepreneur who bought 475 rolls of toilet paper at the beginning of the dock workers strike, but that's not it.
It's just "BiG" toilet paper. Toilet paper manufacturers win by wiping out our bank accounts when we purchase unnecessary quantities of the stuff when we don't need a backlog.
However, some people are panic-stricken again, leaving us, who buy toilet paper when needed, having to wait it out or consider other measures. Looking at you, bidet.
