The family of an northern Illinois man with terminal cancer is hoping the creators of the final Hobbit movie will allow him a screening of the movie before it's release in December.

The Stouffer family, from nearby Maple Park has made it a tradition of going to see all of the Hobbit films.

The final Hobbit movie is due out in December and there is a belief that Jessy Stouffer's 57-year-old father, Scott may not make it to the final film.

Jessy's father Scott is suffering from terminal cancer.

That is why Stouffer's daughter, Jessy has started a social media campaign and produced a video explaining why she wants to set up an early screening of the final Hobbit flick.

I have never heard of anyone doing this before and I can't imagine any reason why the creators of the film wouldn't allow the Stouffer family, see the movie ahead of it's release.

If you would like to support the Stoufer's getting their father to see the final Hobbit movie go to Twitter and use the hashtag #HobbitMovieLastRequest.
