Never heard of Earth Hour? Let's change that right now.

Earth hour is a world wide event dedicated to securing the future of our planet.

Earth hour's website explains -

Starting as a symbolic lights out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now the world's largest grassroots movement for the environment, inspiring millions of people to take action for our planet and nature.

So how can you participate? It's truly as simple as it sounds. The goal of the movement is to get everyone around the world to turn off all of their lights for an hour on March 30, 2019 at 8:30 PM whenever that time is for you.

So how exactly are you supposed to celebrate? Earth hour's website details -

Want to keep it simple? You could host a candle-lit dinner, go stargazing, or simply switch off your lights for an hour.

Thinking of going a little bigger? You could put on a gig or concert, screen a movie, or host an Earth Hour party!

The possibilities are endless.

Either way you celebrate be sure to share it with your friends with the hashtag #Connect2Earth. For all of the details on the day head here.
