Illinois & Wisconsin Among Top 10 States For Lowest Electricity Bills
Does living in an all-seasons state, like Illinois or Wisconsin, make a difference in our electric bills? Let's talk about it!
I was talking with my sister today and we were complaining about bills. Not the amount of bills we have, but the amount of money we have to fork over every month for our electric bills.
Think about it, we just can't catch a break when it. In the winter, we are so tempted to turn our heat on because it gets chilly in our houses.
In the summer time, though? I crank the AC on full blast and leave it on majority of the day because I cannot stand being hot, sticky, and sweaty in the comfort of my own home.
Illinois & Wisconsin Among Top 10 States With Lowest Electricity Bills
ELECTRIC BILLS WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME. IT'S THE WORST (IMO)!
I did find out that Illinois ranked #5 with the LOWEST electricity rates in America.
"The average electric bill in Illinois is $89.63 (average electricity price per kWh: 12.95 cents)." [titlemax]
We're not too far behind Maine, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. Surprisingly enough, Wisconsin made #6!
"The average electric bill in Wisconsin is $94.67 (average electricity price per kWh: 14.35 cents)." [titlemax]
I still don't believe this ranking is correct because my electric bill says otherwise lol.

I mean, at least we aren't Hawaii.... their average bill runs at nearly $150.
In my opinion, electric bills are such a joke. No matter what time of year it is, we're always having to pay for either heat or AC and there's no way around it! If only it didn't exist... I'd be totally okay with it haha.
