English Tea Truck is Saving Northern Illinois From this Frigid Spring
We're just a few days away from Memorial Day weekend, so now is the perfect time to grab a sweatshirt and hit the park.... thankfully if you're in Rockford you can grab a cup of tea to warm you up.
I know Mercury is in Retrograde but c'mon weather gods, can we warm things up please?
What a month we've had! From way too hot to way too cold, hopefully at some point we'll get a lot closer to what we should be dealing with in late May, you know like 78 and sunny but while we wait, grab a cup of tea near Sinnissippi Park in downtown Rockford.
You can find the Vintage Goose Cafe just off the Sinnissippi path and that's where you'll meet Tracy, serving tea complete with an English accent.
Tracy and her family moved to Rockford this year from Irvine, California and set up this super cute Airstream cafe where you can grab a drink and a snack while you're spending some time outside.
Not only is talking to Tracy a warm experience, the warm tea and coffee is perfect for a windy walk, and the prices are right too, $3.50 for a cup of tea is much less than the typical cafe.
My friend and I stumbled up on the Vintage Goose Cafe this weekend when we were in fact really cold and each had a Melbourne Breakfast tea, which was insanely delicious.
The cafe also has a variety of coffee drinks, hot chocolate and treats too.
We'll be back! But maybe next time we'll need something on ice!
