It's never too early to take a look into the future. Our future looks to be filled with fluffy white stuff.

It's only August, but there are already a bunch of predictions for this winter's temps and snowfall.

With the heatwave we had in the middle of July, I feel like I'd love some snow right now. But maybe not snow from December through April.

While the Farmer's Almanac isn't always correct, it's still a pretty sufficient guideline for us to forecast... our forecast.

According to the Farmer's Almanac for 61107, we will have some wet weather, but probably warmer than expected.

Winter will be warmer than normal, with above-normal precipitation. The coldest periods will be in late December and early to mid-January and from mid-January into early February. Snowfall will be above normal in New York and Illinois and below normal elsewhere, with the snowiest periods in mid-November, late December, early and late January, mid-February, and early March.

Hey, I'll take it! Snow is pretty and I'd much rather have a white winter than an extreme frigid one! Last winter my windshield wiper snapped in half because it was so cold.

Does this forecast make you happy or nervous?
