A survey recently asked what tops the list of the most stressful things at the holidays, and not surprisingly, it was traveling.

I took that to mean that it stresses the heck out of folks to watch those NBA officials continue to allow blatant traveling by league teams...but it seems that's not what the survey takers meant.

Prepping, packing, loading the car, paying the tolls, finding parking, grabbing boarding passes, snail-walking through security, being jammed into a tiny seat with no leg room, and all the things that follow is what they meant by traveling. For some reason, most people don't think of all that as being fun.

Which brings us to this report from WGN-TV News:

Friday is expected to be the busiest day of the holiday travel season at Chicago’s airports.

City officials anticipate O’Hare and Midway will be among the busiest airports in the nation, with an estimated 5 million passengers during the Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s travel period. That’s a more than 2-percent increase over last year.

People are advised to arrive at the airport two hours early for domestic flights, and three hours early for international travel.

Oh, well. You could always just catch a ride with a friend:
