This is why we have trust issues. Alex from Target blew up the internet with his good looks and bagging skills but it turns out it was all just a lie.

I'm sure you've seen his picture all over the internet this week, Alex From Target. He's cute, hard working and he's everything a marketing company is looking for when trying a social media experiment.  I'll admit, I fell for it. I even made my kid take a picture of himself bagging groceries at the Piggly Wiggly.  Who needs #AlexFromTarget, when there's #TannerFromPigglyWiggly?

Now a tech start up company, Breakr, is taking credit for making #alexfromtarget one of the "most amazing social media experiments ever."  The CEO of Breakr took to LinkedIn to explain that, "We wanted to see how powerful the fangirl demographic was by taking a unknown good-looking kid and Target employee from Texas to overnight viral internet sensation." It worked.

So, this got me to thinking. Let's do our own social media experiment. Who is the Rockford areas Alex From Target? He can work at any store, gas station or wherever. Find him and share his photo on our Facebook page and tweet me your pictures at @MandyJOnAir and @97ZOK.
