Music festivals aren't just about the tunes—the food is equally as important!  Summerfest in Wisconsin knows how to do it right, too.  Every. Single. Year.  I could spend an entire day on festival grounds trying different food all day long.  My bank account wouldn't be happy, but when will I ever get to do this again?!

What I love about Summerfest?  It doesn't cost a fortune to enjoy good music and delicious eats.  Sometimes, admission is free depending on which days you go!  You get a full festival experience, discover new bands you've never heard before, or see smaller artists you love all for free.

How To Get Free Entry To Summerfest in Wisconsin

Friday, June 27th - Any guests who come between 12pm-3pm wearing a shirt/hat representing a participating college/university, or show a valid high school ID, will get a free admission ticket!

Saturday, June 28th - First 2,500 giests who donate new/gently used children's books with a $10 value will receive a free admission ticket.  Must arrive between 12pm-3pm.

Thursday, July 3rd - "All patrons who arrive between 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. will be admitted FREE, courtesy of Walmart+! Just “deliver” yourself to any gate and enjoy the kickoff to your holiday weekend on the lakefront at Summerfest!"

Friday, July 4th - Between 12pm-6pm, get free admission thanks to Kwik Trip. First 5,000 will get a can cooler, too.

Saturday, July 5th - 'SUMMERFEST FAN APPRECIATION DAY'; Get in free between 12pm-3pm and also get an admission pass to Summerfest 2026.
