Summerfest Shifts Schedule to Accommodate Local Events

That's why so many people from all over come to Milwaukee's Summerfest. The problem is that Summerfest is so big that it overlaps with other festivals in the area.

TMJ4 in Milwaukee says Summerfest is moving dates around in 2027 to make sure you can go to everything, like Milwaukee's Juneteenth celebration. It happened this year during the first week of Summerfest, but not next year.

Milwaukee’s Massive Summerfest Announces Major Date Changes for 2027

Summerfest is now scheduled for June 24-26, July 1-3, and July 8-10. Bastille Days will also move back a week, just to make sure festivals aren't happening at the same time.

Kind of a genius move, and while Summerfest organizers have yet to announce any performers for next year's concerts, I'm sure people from the Rockford area will be ready to make the trek to see some live music.
