Illinois’ Best Pizza Has Over 40 Locations in the State
You won't have to go far to find the best pizza in Illinois.
That's because there are so many locations in the state, and just about any decently sized city in The Land of Lincoln has one.
Reader's Digest shared its list of the Best Pizza in every state, and admittedly, I was surprised.
On more than one occasion, I have seen the Best Pizza in Illinois moniker go to the beloved Pequod's in Chicago.
Lou Malnati's gets plenty of love, too, and deservedly so, but I do not often see Giordano's mentioned as the best pizza.
Giordano's has always been a fine, decent pizza place and a good alternative if you're tired of always getting the same thing, but maybe things are changing.
That's because Giordano's beat out Lou's and Pequod's for the title of Illinois' Best Pizza.
However you feel about it, there are few things more sinfully indulgent (or worth every bite) than a Chicago deep-dish pizza. Chicago's classic restaurant Giordano's takes it one step further with their stuffed pizza. As if the mountain of dense dough, melted cheese, and chunky sauce couldn't get more over-the-top, they fill the crust with ricotta cheese.
The way Reader's Digest is putting it does sound pretty great.
Here's the list of Giordano's in Illinois, led by the Rockford spot at 333 Executive Parkway.
