This list, according to Illinois State Rep. John Cabello who released the names, includes perpetrators many of violent crimes, including murder.

Illinois Governor J.B Pritzker recently commuted the sentences of several inmates in the state. Critics of this move have stated that the commutations were also done quietly, and as such, could be putting people of Illinois at risk. It's that fact that motivated State Rep. John Cabello (R-Machesney Park) to publish the list of names (below) of every prisoner released, saying:

“The Governor is undermining the criminal justice system and potentially endangering the victims and family members as well as those who may have testified in court resulting in the original incarceration. In what world do we release murderers into the community and be more concerned about their safety over the safety of the public?”

Representative Cabello serves the 68th District, which includes portions of Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park and Cherry Valley. To read more, visit johncabello.org.
