When Rockford's Ruby Tuesday closed, a lot of us were sad to see it go. Their half pound burger baskets and salad bar were the best, they had incredible deals for families and happy hour was all day, everyday.

Now, after a little over a year, the restaurant that sits empty on East State and Walton, is getting a new tenant.

According to WIFR the Dog Haus has selected Rockford for one of it's five new locations east of the Mississippi.

Never heard of the Dog Haus? Yeah, me either. Their website says they're the "absolute wurst." They've "garnered critical acclaim and national attention for its signature all beef Haus Dogs and hand crafted proprietary Haus Sausages, as well as their 100% genetically tested, humanely raised Black Angus beef."

I could go on, but I'd rather just show you what they have to offer; try not to get drool on your keyboard.

The Dog Haus will be open this year.
