The beauty of St. Patrick's Day this year is that we are getting more than just one day to celebrate wearing green.

Last week we had a blast at the Rockford St. Patrick's Day parade and this weekend we get the real deal.

Before Friday comes along, I decided to learn how to Irish Dance. Huge thanks to Miari, Chandra, their moms, and the entire McNulty Irish Dance family for teaching me a few steps.

You can catch some authentic Irish dancing with the McNulty Irish Dancers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at Murphy's, then at 8 p.m. at Just Goods on 7th street. They'll also be dancing on Saturday at Rockford's Cultural Heritage Celebration at Midway Village at noon.

Just hand me an Irish car bomb and I'm ready to pretend I'm Irish this weekend.
