Huge Refund For People Who Bought Milk in 15 States and Washington D.C.
Got milk? If you bought that milk in one of these 15 states (or Washington D.C.), you also 'got cash.'
Over $52 million will be given away as part of a recent class action lawsuit associated with the National Milk Producers Federation.
According to NBC Chicago, "an antitrust lawsuit alleged that members of the Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) prematurely slaughtered cows to limit production of milk and drive up prices."
That is serious stuff!
While Illinois is not on the list of the 15 states, you still might be able to cash in because the refunds are being given to anyone who bought milk in one of those states in the last 14 years.
2003 was quite a while ago, maybe you used to live in Wisconsin? Michigan? California?
The states are: Arizona, California, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin.
You can claim your refund at the website titled perfectly, "Bought Milk."
The refunds aren't just for purchasing milk, this includes a bunch of other milk products like yogurt, half and half and sour cream.
