Ever order a hot dog somewhere and someone looks at you in disgust and says, "ewww, do you know what those things are made of?" As a matter of fact, I don't , I only know what Dan Akroyd taught me in the movie The Great Outdoors and it still didn't stop me from eating them.

It can't get much worse than pig lips and well, you know. Wait, yes it can. According to a new study, human DNA has been found in hot dogs. ClearFood, a company that conducts genetic testing on food, tested 345 hot dog and sausage products from 75 brands and 10 retailers and found that two percent of all samples had traces of human DNA. Researchers don't exactly know where it comes from but my guess is that it can be anything from saliva, blood, or flesh. Ew. I'll stop now.

Here's some even more startling news- the report also found that 10 percent of the vegetarian hot dogs tested contained meat, including chicken in a vegetarian breakfast sausage and pork in a vegetarian hot dog. Yummy.

Ok, knowing what you know now, will you stop eating hot dogs?
