This will be IKEA's third store in Illinois. The other two locations are currently in Bolingbrook and Schaumburg, both longtime go-to spots for Chicagoland shoppers looking for affordable furniture, decor, and iconic blue shopping bags!
The Gurnee Mills store will be 66,000 square feet and feature around 3,000 furniture pieces. Whether you're grabbing quick shelving, bedroom sets, a new office desk, or fun decor for your baby's nursery, there will be plenty to see, and buy.
And yes, the food is coming, too. Don't worry! The store will offer IKEA's well-known favorites, including meatballs, hot dogs, veggie dogs, and cinnamon buns. This is one of four new IKEA stores set to open across the country in 2026. For shoppers in Lake County and beyond, that means fewer long drives and a brand-new spot to get lost in for.... hours.
