Candy Corn Takes the Crown as Illinois’ Most Given-Out Halloween

I can't believe I'm saying this again, but here we are. Candy corn has officially taken the crown as Illinois' most given-out Halloween candy. Every. Single. Year. I say the same thing: WHY?!

Of all the candy you could give out, you go with the one that tastes like wax, sadness, and chalk? Shame on you.

I understand that candy is expensive these days, but I'd rather hand out nothing than subject children to the worst candy on the planet. Candy corn is the ultimate Halloween controversy. Half the world claims to "love it" (just like Peeps during Easter), and the rest of us know that it's the worst candy you could hand out.

You're literally asking to get your house TP'd.

I mean, I might just hand it out so I get free toilet paper. You know how much it costs these days?!

We gotta do better. We know good food when we see it, but what about candy? Reese's, KitKats, Crunch bars, Hershey bars, M&Ms, Skittles... the list goes on. So, why are we settling for candy corn when there are so many better options? Give the kids a dang Snickers and call it a night. Be the cool house that gives out the best candy for Halloween!
