Illinois Fast-Food Fans Won’t Believe Which Chain Just Beat Chick-fil-A

For years, it felt like Chick-fil-A was untouchable.  Whether you love their chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, or famously friendly service, the chain has dominated customer satisfaction rankings across America.

Fast food fans may be surprised to learn that Chick-fil-A has officially been knocked out of the top spot.

According to a recent survey from ACSI, Chick-fil-A has been dethroned by none other than Jersey Mike's.

Jersey Mike's earned an impressive 84/100 score, narrowly beating Chick-fil-A, which scored an 83.  Wow, the race to #1 was so close!  Not too far behind Chick-fil-A were Jimmy John's and Panda Express.  Not really what I'd expect to be at the top for best fast food spots, but the people have spoken.

What makes this even more surprising is that it's the first time in more than a decade that a new restaurant chain has led the ACSI's quick-service category.  That's pretty big considering how competitive the fast food industry has become.

More than 16,000 people shared their experiences with restaurants all across the country between April 2025 and March 2026.  Jersey Mike's growth, strong customer demand, and convenient ordering options pulled through in this ranking.  More customers are using digital ordering and pickup services, and Jersey Mike's appears to be delivering a consistent experience even as it continues to expand.  They have a loyal following!
