Who would've thought that this city in Illinois would matter more to Gen Z folks than New York City.

As a Gen Xer who has been to NYC a few times, I have to agree with Gen Z, because they said the Windy City, the City of Broad Shoulders, or whatever you want to call Chicago is better.

There's proof too, that Gen Z believes Chicago is one of the "coolest" cities on the planet.

Ranked 3rd overall, and just behind Los Angeles and Miami, Gen Z is a fan of Chicago:

Far and Wide:

Chicago is cold and heartless for most of the year, but visit in the warmer months and you'll find one of the coolest (get it?) cities on the planet.

Divided into neighborhoods that have a distinct personality, Chicago boasts world-class museums, large waterfront parks and some really amazing food. Plus, there are tons of alternative, underground spaces that make for a unique experience.

The website that ranked Chicago 3rd overall mentioned staying at The Gwen when you make a trip to Chicago.

According to TripAdvisor, The Gwen is the truth too.

Located on Rush Street and rated 4.5 out of 5 check out this review for The Gwen:

The entire staff is awesome. Luigi at the front desk in particular! The bartenders and wait staff took great care of us too. The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown shopping and nightlife.

Sign me up. This is the kind of hotel stay Gen X, Gen Z, and even Boomers can agree on.
