My dad is a man of very few words and facial expressions. When he does react to something, you know it's important!

I was visiting my parents over the weekend and we heard an ice cream truck getting closer and closer to my parents' house.

You would think all of us being adults that we wouldn't get TOO excited about an ice cream truck... you thought wrong. My dad stuck his thumb out like a hitchhiker to flag down the truck to stop for him!

Once the ice cream truck approached their house, my dad had a little "pep in his step" and was the first at the window to order his favorite: the SpongeBob SquarePants ice cream bar.

I've never seen a grown man more thrilled to get ice cream in my life.

It's the little things in life that I cherish the most. I'm so glad I got to see the joy in my dad's face when he revealed his SpongeBob!
