Illinois Driver and Vehicle Services Facilities Reopen
Driver services facilities are reopening across the state on Tuesday, January 5.
While many of the services these facilities provide can be done online, there are many things that need to be done in person. For every 16-year-old who has been waiting to get their license, their time has finally arrived.
You will be required to wear a mask when inside and social distancing will be practiced. You can find the hours your facility will be open by visiting cyberdriveliilinois.com.
On that same website, you can still:
- Renew a license plate sticker
- Renew your valid driver's license or ID card
- Obtain a driver record abstract
- Filing business services documents
REMEMBER: You still have until June 1, 2021 to renew your expired driver's license or ID card. Secretary of State Jesse White extended the deadline to renew. If you are required to pass a written or road test, you will not be able to use online renewal services.
