Illinois Grandma Turns $30 Scratch-Off Into a Cool $3 Million
If there ever was a story that made me want to run to the nearest gas station and buy a scratch-off, it's this one. An Illinois woman, who literally goes by "Happy Grandma", just hit a massive $3 million jackpot on a $30 Super Bonus ticket.
Happy Grandma wasn't at a casino.
She wasn't in Vegas feelin' lucky.
She wasn't even doing anything dramatic!
This grandma was scratching her lottery ticket at home, thinking maybe she'd make her money back. After scratching a little more, she realized she hit the jackpot. $3 million.
Her first reaction was pure disbelief. She literally asked her husband, "Am I hallucinating?" (which is completely fair considering I'd pass out after thinking I'd won, too.)
The couple went to scan the ticket just to make sure their eyes weren't tricking them, and once that confirmation hit... the screaming began. Happy Grandma said they "lost it." Imagine your entire family crammed in the living room, yelling like the Bears finally made the playoffs. Yeah, they were ecstatic!
She said she wants to help her family, fix up their house, spoil everyone for the holidays, and take the grandkids on a cruise, and, because she deserves it, book herself a few spa days. Well deserved, Grandma!
