Illinois Just Passed A New Smoke Detector Law
Homeowners and apartment dwellers & landlords< here's what you need o know about the new smoke detector requirements.
The new smoke detector law states that if you live in a home or apartment built before 1988, you need to install a detector with a a 10-year sealed battery, according to wifr.com.
Since 2017, there have been more 200 residential fire deaths, that alone was the need for a new smoke detector law.
