Illinois Museum’s Grown-Up Field Trip is a Blast From the Past
Remember the days of loading onto a giant yellow school bus with your sack lunch and heading out for an adventure with your classmates?
Field trips usually meant getting away from books, homework and being crammed in a desk all day. It was a day to hang with your friends while (maybe) learning something outside the classroom.
The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago is setting aside a night just for adults to relive their glory days of chilling with friends on a class trip.
Grown-Up Field Trip: Totally '90s on Sept. 14 will feature activities and exhibits straight from the 1990s. The event is only open to ages 21 and older.
Among the activities is a photo-op with the Transparent Anatomical Mannikin (TAM) that was featured on the cover of Nirvana's 1993 album In Utero.
Sports fans can relive some of the best years of the Chicago Bulls during a screening of "Michael Jordan To The Max" in the museum's five-story screen.
The Grown-Up Field Trip is schedule for 6-10 p.m. on Sept. 14, which means hanging a the museum after hours without kids (sorry, kids). There also will be drinks and a DJ spinning the sounds of the '90s.
Tickets are $30 for Museum of Science and Industry members and $35 for non-members. They are available here.
