Illinois Talk Show Names ‘Best Burger’ in the Area

Have you ever had the Stateline's Best Burger? 

We're knocking on fall's door and for me that means swapping salads for something a little more comforting, a burger maybe?

Throughout the month of July on Good Day Stateline we had the delicious pleasure of searching for the Stateline's Best Burger.

It was a lot of hard work but after our initial search we narrowed the final five down to 15th & Chris in Rockford, MC Tap in Monroe Center, KC's Burger Bar in Machesney Park, Mr. C's in Rockford and The Filling Station in Rockford.

To be totally honest, these burgers were all so unique I was very glad that the decision to name on of them the 'Stateline's Best' wasn't up to me, but instead up to the Good Day Stateline viewers.

After the final vote the winner was pretty solid, MC Tap in Monroe Center reigned supreme.

The craziest part of the search is that Monroe Center is home to only 500 people! Knowing the town is so small makes the victory even more impressive.

The burger is cooked to order right in front of you at the bar with your choice of cheese and toppings.

The MC Tap ladies stopped by to celebrate the big win on Friday night on GDS and we toasted with Spirit Day milkshakes, which were also pretty incredible.
