When I was 15-years-old I had a tumultuous relationship with my mom; all I can remember is how much I wanted her attention but boyfriends and jobs always seemed to come first.

I know she was doing the best she can, but I stopped believing that when I found myself homeless for nearly two years just as I turned 16. I lived in my car, sleeping where I could, until I got pregnant at 17 and she finally let me move back home.

Part of me still holds on to that, but even after all the angst and anger between us, I never considered doing anything to hurt her.

Which is why I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around this story out of Sterling. According to ABC 13, a 15-year-old girl allegedly shot her mom in the head and tried to conceal the body by setting her on fire. Then she did something even more shocking, she posted a tribute to her on Facebook, saying,

"I don't even know if you can see me right now but if you can I just want you to know you were my best friend. There were so many things I wanted to say and do with you. I wasn't always the best daughter and I'm so sorry. I love you so much mom I just want you to know and I'll never forget you."

In case you missed it in the news clip, the teen and her friend are both being charged as juveniles. Can you believe that?

The teen, who's name isn't being revealed because of her age, even researched children who murdered their parents online. Isn't that premeditation?
