Is This Note From A Generous Landlord Real?

I hope this is real, but I'm pretty sure it's not.

We need more people like the guy who wrote the letter. However, there are more people like the guy who posted it to Reddit.

The Reddit user was immediately called out for other "amazing" posts that he put on the popular website.

In case you can't read it, here's the note:

I know you guys have been having trouble being between jobs these past few months and I just wanted to thank you for always being current on the rent.

So my gift for you and yours is that I'm waiving you December rent so you can give your family a good and decent Christmas this year.

We'll just pick it back up in January.

He has since deleted his account but the picture of the note remains on Imgur for all the world to see and mull over while deciding, is it fake or real?
