UPDATE: Boot Barn’s First Store in Rockford Officially Opens Next Week!

Boot Barn is opening its very first store in Rockford, Illinois soon and that it will occupy the former Joann Fabrics store on E State St.

Best Store to Blow $500 in Rockford

This morning we asked this question on Facebook, (and surprisingly, we got way more answers than just Target and Walmart);

When discussing this question on air  we got a phone call that blew our minds a little bit. The man said, (I am paraphrasing slightly)..

I could blow $500 at Boor Barn easily...it smells so good in there.

(The smell he was referring to is leather, btw.)

When we asked this gentleman where he goes to shop at Boot Barn he proceeded to say he heard a Boot Barn store was opening in the former Joann Fabrics location on E State St. in Rockford.

WHAT? How could we not know about this already?

Turns out, he's not the only person who has heard this Boot Barn rumor. We then received an app message that said;

It’s true. March 5th.

Ok, that's coming up pretty quick! Time to go on a hunt for proof.

Is Boot Barn Opening a Store in Rockford, Illinois?

The first stop on my mission to find the truth was going to Boot Barn's website to see if a Rockford location was listed as "coming soon". It's not.

Google searches for "Boot Barn Rockford, Illinois" didn't show much either until I entered "Boot Barn jobs Rockford, Illinois" and found these listings...

So, Boot Barn is obviously hiring for several positions in Rockford, but I still want confirmation from the corporation.

We tried to call Boot Barn customer service and got no where.

UPDATE: Boot Barn Confirms Opening Date for New Rockford, Illinois Store

Since originally writing this article, a Boot Barn sign has gone up on the former JoAnn Fabrics building on E State St., AND the company has confirmed that the new store in Rockford WILL be opening on Tuesday, March 5, 2024!

The Rockford Register Star reports;

Boot Barn will open at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at 6280 E. State St.

The 10,000-square foot store will offer work boots, cowboy boots, jeans, jackets, projective workwear, cowboy hats and accessories. Brands include American West, Ali Dee, Browning, Durango, Moonshine Spirit, Carhartt, Danner and Thorogood.

Boot Barn Rockford's hours will be; Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
