Illinois Man Shot After ‘Heated Verbal Exchange’ In Front of Local Business
Rockford Police are searching for two male suspects who were allegedly involved in a shooting on Friday evening just off South Alpine Road.
Apparent Argument Leads to Man Being Shot in Stomach
According to the press release from the Rockford Police Department, officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 2400 Block of South Alpine Road.
When they arrived on the scene, Rockford Police identified a 33-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Officers on the scene were advised that the man who was shot apparently got into "a heated verbal argument" with two individuals in front of a business located on South Alpine Road before he was shot.

In the press release, Rockford Police said the two suspects in the shooting fled the scene and are both described as black males between 16 and 22 years of age with "thin builds."
