Ways to Avoid Road Rage

Since we can't control the behavior of other drivers, there are 3 important things you can do to avoid falling victim to dangerous road rage behavior according to Allstate;

  1. Don't Engage - If someone frustrates you while driving, don't lose your cool, yell swear words, of flip birds out the window.  Just take some deep breaths and ignore.
  2. Avoid Antagonizing Other Drivers - Allow room for merging, use your turn signals, don't block traffic flow, put your phone down, don't honk your car horn unless absolutely necessary.
  3. Call for Help - If you feel threatened by another driver, don't try to handle it yourself...just call the police.
