Revived TV Show ‘Justified: City Primeval’ Filming in Chicago Needs Extras Today
How often do you see a show that has been so critically acclaimed come back from the dead years later giving you a chance to be an extra?
This isn't your typical "Chicago Med needs extras!" casting call and as much as I love the NBC Chicago lineup, there's something a little bit more special about this casting call.
Maybe it's because I was a devoted watcher of Justified back when it was on TV. In case you don't know about the show, Justified is based on an Elmore Leonard character, a lawman named Raylan Givens.
Givens is played by Timothy Olyphant, who I swear channels his inner Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson.
When the show bowed in 2015, I never thought for one second that it would come back in any capacity.
Olyphant is still a working actor in Hollywood, so it didn't seem like he needed to throw the Stetson back on and resume his role as Givens.
However, that was seven years ago, and while Olyphant still gets plenty of roles, he's coming back in a new FX miniseries tentatively titled Justified: City Primeval.
This takes Givens out of the familiar setting of Kentucky and off to Detroit, Michigan.
Where Chicago plays a role in all of this, is beyond me, but I can tell you producers for the newly revived Justified are looking for help in the Windy City.
One of the listings on Project Casting mentions the folks at Justified need a Cocktail Waitress paying out $250 a day with an extra $100 more for fittings and COVID testing.
Another listing says casting directors need Car Drivers. The rate is $120 plus time and a half for overtime. Not bad. There are more extras roles too that pop up just about every day.
If you're interested, hit up Project Casting and search Justified. More importantly, if you end up on the show, let us know. We'd love to talk to you.
