Here's another reason why I'm never planning to online date.

A recent survey from Match.com users give us a list of words that are found most often in profiles, none of which I find all that interesting.

"Travel" is the biggest, appearing in 1,005,346 profiles. That's a BIG number. Not that I don't like to travel, I do, but I feel it's pretentious to say "traveling" is one of your interests. It's cliche, I don't wanna date you if that's the only interest you have, maybe we can go to Italy first though.

Next on the list, "down to earth," blah, another cliche term, and I actually don't even know what it actually means, so I'm assuming most of the people who use the term don't either Plus, doesn't "down to earth," sound pretty boring?

"Selfie" was mentioned in 5,613 profiles. I'm thinking that's mostly women under the age of 24, and so that doesn't really affect me, but c'mon girls. Selfie? Really? You can take them, but don't tell anyone it's your hobby. Leave that to Miley.

Finally, 5,501 people said that "Frozen" is their favorite movie. I don't believe this is actually true. You're telling me, that of the at least 18 years you've been alive, the BEST movie you've ever seen is a Disney musical? I love Disney just as much as any 27-year-old girl, but really? I feel like even writing "The Lion King" would more sufficient, at least that would've required you to put some time in your movie loving. If you're an adult and "Frozen" is your favorite movie ever, I wonder if it's the only one you've ever seen.

The other most popular words were: "Zumba, electrician, welcoming, warmhearted, crochet, and cosmetology." Another sign that I'm not interested. I'm thinking most of those users are women, but I'd be looking for a guy, so now I'm imagining this softie crochet-ing electrician in a leotard watching YouTube videos about hairstyles.

I know, you're gonna tell me I'm being a little harsh. You're probably right, I'm a little sleep-deprived and hyped up on peppermint mochas today, but I'm pretty sure this is still my opinion.

But, I'll take your side of the story too, anyone out that have extreme online dating success? Let me know, maybe you'll be convincing.
