Congrats to Dixon native Nora Balayti on winning a prestigious art contest.

According to Sauk Valley, Balayti along with three other artists from New York, Los Angeles and Denver were commissioned by the Paulaner and Hacker-Pschorr Brewery to create an art piece symbolizing the Bavarian Purity Law.

The law also called the Reinheitsgebot, according to PR News Wire, "protects the purity and quality of beer by allowing only four ingredients in the brewing process: hops, malt, yeast and water.

Check out Balayti's submitted art piece.

The winner would receive an all expense paid trip to the Munich brewery. The artists were instructed online vote would determine the winner. So Balayti, along with friends, family and fans asked for votes and word of her involvement took off on social media.

Balayti made news earlier this year for her artwork at a couple of different Chicago eateries.
