Illinois Resident Wins Big After Buying $2M Scratch-Off Ticket
An Illinois lottery player is waking up very different after winning the $2M jackpot off a scratch-off ticket in the Northwest suburbs.
The winner is staying anonymous and going by the name, "Nelly Chava," and the winning ticket was a $20 Multiplier Madness scratch-off purchased at Geno's Fine Wine and Spirits in Elgin. Just a casual stop that turned into a life-changing moment. The kind of thing you see in commercials and think, "yeah, that will never happen to me." until it does.

Apparently, Nelly grabbed the ticket because they've always loved the Multiplier Madness game and the chance at a big jackpot. We all have our go-to lotto ticket, right? The one we swear by! For Nelly, this was the one they were picking every time, and this time it paid off.
Once they got home, they scratched the ticket with their family and realized what they were looking at. Slow blink, double-checking the ticket, sitting in disbelief. Everyone started screaming! They said it was hard to believe. Once reality set in, they couldn't stop smiling.
The first thing on their mind to do with the money? Buy a house and surprise their kids with little things they've always wanted.
Not a yacht.
Not a wild shopping spree.
A house. Stability. Making their kids happy.
