Sometimes it's a lot easier to make desserts in advance for the holidays. Try this apple crisp for Thanksgiving.

Over the weekend I had plans with two of my best friends. We hadn't all seen each other in months, which is why we planned to get together. We decided to make and freeze Thanksgiving desserts.

I found a recipe for make ahead freezer apple crisp on the Food Network's website and it was exactly what we were looking for.

Sure it took a while to peel and chop the apples, but this dessert goes straight from the freezer to the oven when you're ready to make it, so it's perfect for a busy holiday.

It lasts for two weeks in the freezer. Get the entire recipe here.
