Many Illinois Museums Offering Free Tickets For One Day Only

As part of Smithsonian magazine's National Museum Day, there are free ticket offers across the country including Illinois and Wisconsin.

One of my favorite trips to Chicago with my young daughter was our trip to Adler Planetarium. It's filled with moments of wonder. I can't even remember how many times I saw her jaw in her lap. Not only can you get tickets to Adler for National Museum Day on Saturday, September 22nd, but you can also score tickets to the Museum of Contemporary Art. These are the two biggest museum's in the state, but on Museum Day, many museums throughout the state are offering free admission.
