If you have chocolate milk in your refrigerator you might want to take a look at the UPC, date, and other information on the jug. This comes at an unfortunate time as families load up on chocolate milk while some children are e-learning.

There has been a "limited voluntary" recall of 1% and and "Premium Flavored" Prairie Farms chocolate milk, a total of 1,152 units. The recall comes after a valve malfunction at the Rockford plant which caused cross-contamination with egg nog. According to WIFR, contamination could be serious for individuals with egg sensitivities.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The related recalled units were sold in Rockford, Chicago, and other northern Illinois suburbs. The recall also includes southeastern Wisconsin. No illnesses have been reported as of this article.
