Geez Chris Martin from Coldplay, just go to the tree!

The latest edition of Michelle Explains, comes at the request of Steve Shannon and Mandy James.

They were discussing the weirdness of the song, "The Hanging Tree" from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, which was put together by James Newton Howard and features Jennifer Lawrence "singing," and asked if I would please explain it to them, so I did.

Singing is in quotes because I'm pretty sure what she's doing in this song can't be considered real singing.

I have this theory that this song is all about her relationship with Chris Martin of Coldplay. I think they're still dating, it's very on and off because he is always hanging out with his ex-wife the strange, Gwyneth Paltrow. (P.S. Gwyneth is really hard to spell.)

So I envision this to be J.Law's drunken cry for attention in the hanging tree. She totally wrote the song and then just made them let her sing it in the movie so that she gets some press.

Or that's not true. But, I think it's pretty entertaining.

There is no actual music video for this song, but here is the audio in case you forgot what it sounds like after my stick figures blew you away.
