I've been living in Illinois now for almost two years and I still have yet to try a Chicago dog. Unbelievable, right?

What's even more unbelievable is that I'll probably try the Minneapolis dog, first. ***brakes screech*** Wait, there's a Minneapolis dog?

Yep, it's official. According to KARE 11, the Twin Cities has created a rival to the Chicago style hot dog. It's called the Minnieapple dog. How cute.

I know what you're thinking, "eww, that looks gross" or "what is that?" Tater tot hot dish might not look very pretty but it sure is tasty.

And, despite being loaded with carbs and fat, when I return to my hometown this week, I will make it a point to stop by Uncle Franky's to give this bad boy a try; because let's be honest, I'm too lazy to make it on my own.

And if you're too lazy to make the drive Minneapolis so you can try it, here's the recipe. Unfortunately, there's a little more work involved than making a Chicago dog.
