I went into Dry January with good intentions, I really did.  I thought this was the year I'd casually glide through the entire month without alcohol and feel super superior about it.  Spoiler alert: I made it 14 days.  And honestly?  The feels like an accomplishment in itself.

Here was my downfall: I was at the bar with friends and took one look at their wine selection and Moscato was calling my name.  It's my biggest weakness when I go out for drinks!  So, I made an exception and had a cheat day.  Now I feel unaccomplished.

But here's the thing, even with my slip-up, Dry January still worked.  Just not how I expected it to go.  Cutting out drinking made me realize how much money I was really spending without thinking about it.  When you're not ordering cocktails, you're also not ordering the second.. or third drink.. or late night "hangover" food.

Now, I still want to treat myself when I go out, so I decided to look for the best places with mocktails around Rockford.  I asked on Facebook and there are so many local spots to get one!
