Dairy doesn't go well with my stomach, so I won't be indulging in any of the fun in this cheesy Wisconsin town.

Summer is approaching and I'm just trying to find some places my boyfriend and I can go to for a quick day trip when we're both off of work.  Wisconsin is always high on my search history because it's so close to Illinois.  Luckily, I found a town not too far from me that has beautiful sights to see and there are many cheese activities around the city.

MONROE, WISCONSIN

Did you know Monroe is named the Swiss Cheese Capital of America?

One of the best places to visit in Monroe is Baumgartner's.  They are Wisconsin's OLDEST cheese store!  You can sample cheese and eat a delicious grilled cheese while you're there.

Monroe also offers The National Historic Cheesemaking Center!

You can sometimes watch Master Cheesemakers make a massive wheel of Swiss cheese, just like how cheese was made more than 100 years ago.

Maybe you're looking for another cheese store to shop at, Roth Cheese is a great option!  Just by looking at their Instagram, they make anything you can possibly think of with cheese.  That's talent!

Cheese lovers can visit the Roth Creamery in the cheese-filled town of Monroe to tour the factory, try several samples of delicious cheese, and buy some to take home with them.

Minhas Brewery is also a great place to visit because they give an experience for people who travel from miles away and who want to treat themselves to a daycation.

You can take historical tours at their Monroe brewery location and enjoy:

- Wine tastings

- Shop their selection of alcoholic products

- Shop branded apparel

- Take home delicious cheese and hot sauces

If you haven't already requested off work to make it to Monroe this month, do it now!  There are some amazing places to visit in this town and it's all waiting for you this Summer.  Take lots of pictures and don't forget to say 'CHEESE' when you smile!
