Depending on what part of town you live in you're gonna have some sort of difference in the way they're collecting your recycling and/or yard waste. The City of Rockford starting this Monday has put a two-week pause on collecting recyclables. And any that are brought out to the curb will just be put in with the trash collection.

Whereas South Beloit has had their yard waste pick up suspended until further notice. For those who live in Loves Park, Machesney Park, and Rockton township there is going to be an alternating Yard Waste and Recycling schedule over the next couple of weeks.

The schedule is as follows:

  • October 23, 2020 - Garbage and Yard Waste
  • October 30, 2020 - Garbage and Recycling
  • November 6, 2020 - Garbage and Yard Waste

This info all comes straight from the Rock River Disposal's homepage and if in the upcoming weeks it needs to continue that information will also be posted.

Loves Park Alderman Clint Little stated in a Facebook post that the leaf vacuuming schedule will still start on October 19th as originally planned, but a further schedule has yet to be posted.
