New 40-Room Boutique Hotel Coming to Downtown Rockford

With the UW Health Sports Factory set to open soon on the river in downtown Rockford, this hotel location is perfect. The hotel will also have a restaurant.

Facilities like the Sports Factory will continue to bring money into our city. Sports tourism is a cash cow for the city of Rockford and still too often, that tournament money is left on the table. According to wifr.com, the $5 million project will transform the Millennium Center at 220 S. Madison into a 40-room boutique hotel and restaurant.

Joseph James Partners President Peter Provenzano, said.

"We want this to be a place where people can come throughout the day for people to grab a bite to eat, take a break, have a meeting, then on the weekends accommodate the families that are across the street."

The hope is to have the hotel/restaurant open by next summer. The UW Health Sports Factory is set to open June 1.
