Top Reasons to Love the Discovery Center Museum

As a parent, I am always looking for fun things to do with my kids, and one of our go-to places is always the Discovery Center Museum in Rockford. It doesn't matter how many times we've been there, my girls always find something new to fall in love with.

Whether it be getting "swallowed" by a big bubble...

"Fixing" cars...

Or playing on the huge outdoor playground...

My kids love every minute we spend at the Discovery Center Museum, but we haven't been there lately to check out their temporary Discovery Town exhibit that runs through June 19, 2022. (Here's a preview of it...)

Plan A Discovery Center Adventure For This Summer

Now that we only have a few weeks left to visit Discovery Town before it disappears, the Discovery Center Museum will be expanding its hours for the summer season which means we have more time to play!

Starting Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the Discovery Center will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

A few more recent changes at the Discovery Center include:

• Walk-ins are welcome again! Families can still buy tickets and make reservations in advance online, but they are no longer required and no longer have a time limit.
• Visitors are no longer required to wear facemasks, but anyone over the age of two is strongly encouraged to do so.
